MS Paint Drawing - Draft line

Always good to make a draft sketch before you really start drawing (real image).
This step is not numerous complex.
All you need to do just draw up by gray line.
Adjust the portion size you want.
When you're satisfied with the completed gray draft sketch.
So you gradually draw the black line sketch follow your draft line.

Finally, collect the overall image details
and remove your gray draft sketch (use Color Replacer)

If you have no idea what Color Replacer is try check my tutorials titled 'MS Paint Drawing - Color Replacer'

Congratulation!!!
Now, you already learned my every basic techniques needed for create MS Paint drawing.

MS Paint Drawing - Work with layer

If you would like to add a giant sword to your character.
How can you insert an object override on the other object in MS Paint?
This lesson might answer the questions you may have.

The only way (as I recall).
is to add temporary color to objects.
then move it on the top of main object
and remove your temporary color.

To best understand, try check my video clip

Sometimes, It's difficult to add color on the whole area of object.
This can be done by create a large rectangle (Fill out with temporary color)
then move the object to overlay that rectangle.
After that remove the color outside your object's layout
by use Fill with color tool (Fill it with paper color)

This will do the trick.

MS Paint Drawing - Screentone

To increase understanding. Check my video

MS Paint Drawing - Color Replacer

Now it's time to change the unwanted color.
With a little details about eraser tool.

By hold left-click and drag through the area to remove color.
You can erase everything but
If you hold right-click instead.
You can remove just some colors.

Please note that by hold right-click,
MS Paint eraser tool will erase
your primary color to paper color.
so lucky you can change your paper color
by use pick color tool and
select your paper color by right-click

Now try erase the color by hold right-click

MS Paint Drawing - Simulate Brush Pressure

The most beautiful of paintings. Caused by the weight of lines.
Typically can be done by using of tablet in other drawing program (Except MS Paint).

One method that can be done in MS Paint program is to line twice.
- Fist line for the main line.
- Second line for weight (by erase first line).

You can simply make it by hold left-click (Primary color) to draw main line then
draw again (Indent slightly from the main line) by hold right-click (Secondary color)
*Require expertise in curve tool using.

For the first time may be difficult for you
but when practice often and familiar with tools.
Your drawing will be better.

MS Paint Drawing - Brush Pattern

Possible or not to use the brush pattern in the program MS Paint.
Available but not like other programs
because MS Paint won't mix between the pixel color
that mean even you can use brush pattern,
It still look too strange to call "brush"

But do not worry. We can use this technique to make some creative things later.

Steps creating a brush pattern
1) Draw the shape of the brush pattern.
2) Select your brush pattern with selection tool.
3) Hold the Shift button while dragging the brush pattern.

MS Paint Drawing - Useful shortcut to increase/decrease line size

When you can create a precise curve line.
This time try a little MS Paint techniques (but very useful).

by using this shortcut you can
- Increasing the size of the line (Shortcut : Ctrl and NumPad+).
- also decreasing the size of the line (Shortcut : Ctrl and NumPad-).

You can use this shortcut in many MS Paint drawing tools also.

MS Paint Drawing - Curve Tool

Lessons will begin from the most basic tools of the program MS Paint
But this tool was used most often. And used more than 90% of the total.
It is MS Paint Curve tool.

You'll find the tool panel on the left top of the screen.

This tool is used for drawing a curve in multiple formats.
I usually use this tool to draw a draft line, heavy line or even to draw an ink line.
All you need to know to use this tool effectively is the behavior of the tool.
Remember that you must click all 4 positions to create a curve.

4 position where you must click.

1) Beginning of the curve.
2) End of the curve.
3) Direction exits from the curve starting point.
4) Direction curve jumped into the end.

To understand more. You should try by yourself.
After you are expertise in using of curve tool , you will be able to accurately draw the curve.

Introduction to MS Paint

First of all, I must tell you that I'm not expert in English language (Just enough to communicate)
But will try by best to create the these MS Paint tutorials enough for you to draw.
Anyway Welcome to MS Paint drawing tutorials.

Why I choose to use MS Paint:
- If you use a Windows operating system, you have it installed already. (Without any charge).
- Use less memory when compared with other drawing programs (Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, Adobe Illustrator, etc.).
- Although the program does not have any complex tools but that means nothing complex in the study use MS Paint as well (depending on how you use the basic tools).

OK then it's time to preview my work on MS Paint drawing.

I have frequently asked questions. What equipment used in that drawing.
Not anything special on my desktop just simple 800DPI optical mouse (Cost me around 2-3$)

For now let begin our lessons.
